For many years stress played a big part in my not so good health issues. I won’t go into any ancient history, but I was miserable and struggling in an unhappy marriage. I didn’t know a thing about how to help myself feel better. And, I was too ashamed to go to the doctor and ask for any medications. You see I have always tried to put up a good front. Sadly, I learned this trait as a child and used it into adulthood.
Fortunately for me some good people came into my life just when I needed them most. It is funny how things are put in our way to help us, and with the help of these wonderful people I came to realize that I was the only one who could make myself feel better.
There is so much to this story. I could type pages and pages but I will save that for another time. I will say that the first thing I learned along this journey was the freedom and peacefulness that flowed through my body when using meditation to relax and let go of stress. It is amazing how in just a few minutes we can set ourselves free and just be present in the moment. When we quiet our mind and relax our bodies it is as if we are part of the whole universe. It’s very soothing, it’s very peaceful, and it’s very healing. Once you are able to reach that deep state of relaxation you will realize that there is nothing so important as to take that moment away. It’s as if time stands quietly by until you return to yourself calmer and more at peace, and better able to handle the rest of your day.
Now I am not trying to be a guru or anything but learning the art of true relaxation and meditation can calm the mind and the body as no drug on the market can do. And, once learned you can use it any place, any time.
Well being the idea person that I am once I got started I wanted to share my passion with the world. I wanted others to feel that sense of peace and calm that comes from giving yourself over to a few minutes of meditation. I promise you that once you know what that feeling is like, you will want to meditate as often as you can fit it into your day. For me, it was the one tool that helped me gain back my sanity, and my health.
So, my very best friend and I created a meditation CD that guides you through a meditation along with a booklet that explains the Chakras ( energy centers in the body) as our gift to the universe. Play it forward you know.
This was something that we created back in the nineties. Unfortunately life got in our way and after several years of trying to make a go at our business along with working full time we gave up our idea and put it away.
Now, I have brought it back out and want to share it with the world. Sadly, my best friend passed away several years ago from breast cancer so I hope to honor her with this new release. She believed, and I believe that we are all connected. We are all part of this world together. Each person passes through our life, and we theirs, for a reason.
My friend Eunice narrates the meditation with positive affirmations along with the tones that are said to influence the Chakra centers. It is a wonderful guided meditation and hearing her voice takes me back to that time when we were so creative. She would love knowing that our meditation was back out there.
